Frequently Asked Questions
PITCH Score, explained
How scoring and A/B/C tiering work, what happens on the show floor, and what happens to a lead after it. Built by EventReps so your trade show pipeline actually gets worked.
Five dimensions, one score
Every lead captured in PITCH Score is rated 1–5 across five dimensions, for a maximum of 25 points. The total determines the tier, live, as you score.
Framework & Scoring
What is PITCH Score?
PITCH Score is a trade show badge scanner and lead scoring app. Reps scan a badge or business card, capture a couple lines of notes, and score the conversation on the spot using the PITCH framework. Every lead comes off the floor already qualified and tiered A, B, or C, instead of sitting in a pile waiting to be sorted after the fact.
It was built by EventReps, a trade show sales enablement company, and it's included with every EventReps engagement, or available on its own starting at $300/year per seat.
What does PITCH stand for?
Persona, Intent, Timeline, Clout, and Heat. Each dimension is scored 1–5 in the moment, for a maximum of 25 points:
- Persona — how closely this person matches your ideal buyer profile
- Intent — problem awareness, from just browsing to actively shopping
- Timeline — how soon this could realistically convert
- Clout — decision-making power inside their organization
- Heat — the overall urgency and energy of the conversation itself
How does tiering work?
The five-dimension total sorts every lead into a tier automatically:
- A 18–25 points — hot. Follow up within 24 hours, try to book a meeting before you leave the floor.
- B 12–17 points — warm. Follow up within 48–72 hours.
- C 5–11 points — cool. Long-game nurture, not dead, just not now.
- N+ Unscored — captured but not yet scored, doesn't decay, but isn't being worked until it is.
Why score leads on the floor instead of after the show?
Because the judgment call is best made while the conversation is fresh. A rep trying to remember, three days after a show, whether a contact seemed like a real decision-maker gets it wrong far more often than a rep scoring it 30 seconds after the conversation ends. Scoring live means your team leaves the floor with a ranked list, not a flat pile of badge scans someone has to sort through later.
On the Show Floor
How do I capture a lead?
Scan a badge or a business card with your phone's camera and PITCH Score reads the name, company, and title automatically (business cards typically pick up email and phone too). Talk-to-text your notes instead of typing between conversations, score the five dimensions, and log the lead.
What if the floor is too busy to score every conversation?
Bulk Scan mode saves a scanned badge instantly as an unscored N+ lead, no form, no sliders, just the badge captured so nothing gets lost in a rush. Score it later, once things slow down, from your Lead Log.
Does PITCH Score help with what to actually say to someone?
Yes. Built-in AI coaching gives you a quick assist mid-conversation, type what's happening, "he just said he's not the decision maker," and get one short, usable line back. There's also freeform capture for the moments the standard scoring screen doesn't fit, back-to-back conversations or a badge from three booths ago, where AI extracts the lead and PITCH details for you to review afterward.
Follow-up & Pipeline
What happens to a lead after it's scored?
Every scored lead lands in the Lead Log, filterable by tier, event, or rep. Tier-A leads get a recommended follow-up email sequence pre-drafted automatically, grounded in the notes captured during the actual conversation, not a generic template. Your team reviews and activates it; only the email steps ever send automatically, any call or LinkedIn steps stay as manual reminders.
What is lead decay?
Tier-A leads decay after 24 hours with no follow-up logged, Tier-B after 48 hours, so a hot conversation doesn't quietly go cold while everyone's still at the show. PITCH Score sends an automatic email alert when a lead crosses its threshold, plus a daily digest for anything missed. Tier-C and N+ leads never decay.
Does PITCH Score integrate with my CRM?
Yes. PITCH Score connects with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, and Monday.com, with automatic CRM push available for your highest-priority tiers. You can also export a CSV formatted specifically for Salesforce or HubSpot's import tools if you'd rather bring leads over manually.
How is this different from just collecting badge scans?
Most badge scanners capture contact info and stop there. PITCH Score captures intent: every conversation is scored across five dimensions, tiered automatically, and routed into a follow-up sequence before the next handshake. You leave with a plan, not a spreadsheet.
Teams, Pricing & Getting Started
What kind of reporting do I get?
Analytics rolls up tier counts across the event, a rep scoreboard showing how each rep's leads break down by tier and meetings booked, a breakdown of whether you're actually reaching decision-makers, and a total meetings-booked count. Managers additionally see event economics: enter your show spend once and ROI derives automatically from your tier conversion rates.
Can my whole team use PITCH Score at the same show?
Yes. Every rep scores leads independently on their own device, and it all rolls up into one shared event view. Managers get a team-wide dashboard and the event economics panel; reps see their own leads plus the shared leaderboard, without cost or ROI figures, which stay manager-only by design.
How much does PITCH Score cost?
PITCH Score starts at $300/year per seat after your first user, with no contracts. You can start free with no credit card required, and there's a built-in ROI calculator on the PITCH Score page if you want to estimate what it could return for your team before you commit to anything.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, you can start free with no credit card required. Because PITCH Score is built around live event capture, it's most useful when it's timed against an actual upcoming show on your calendar, so have your next event in mind when you sign up.
Do I need to work with EventReps consulting to use PITCH Score?
No. PITCH Score works as a standalone product. That said, it was built by EventReps out of a real consulting practice, and teams that pair the software with EventReps' Readiness training tend to get the most out of it, since the framework works best when reps are actually trained on how to score in the moment.
Show coming up? Score your leads before they walk away.
